Firstly, it is a distraction to the main goal of making money. Secondly, serious poker players have little interest in form social relationships through gameplay; the people sitting at your table are your competitors and the only goal is to extract as much money from them as possible. Victory in poker is not defined by the number of quality of friendships you make over the course of the session; again, this is a distraction.
Surely, for mainly casual players, a Facebook-like platform may prove beneficial. But these are not the people that play for the amount of time and money that make online gaming profitable.
Real life casinos are a good example. People that seriously want to gamble still go to Las Vegas or Atlantic City, even though there are lots of other B&M gambling options nowadays. Gamblers still like to compartmentalize their gambling, and that's probably a good thing.

Serious poker players don’t want to play poker on Facebook.
