As noted, I went for shabbat to Tzvi’s family’s house in Ramot. Tzvi has six siblings: two sisters and four brothers (he’s the oldest), plus his brother’s girlfriend, and another friend Binyamin, and the cat Yenta, were present. It was a full house. Tzvi’s parents are cool. I got to talk to his dad quite a bit – about music (I’m afraid I may have taken years off his life when I said that Bob Dylan is not among my favorite artists) and literature (he had me read Tolkein’s short story “Leaf by Niggle” and I enjoyed it a lot). The food was awesome, same with the hospitality, and despite Tzvi’s belief that I’m being polite, I am eager to return.

Hi.
You do not know me, but I wanted to tell you hello. Myself, my husband Pete and my mother went on Gershon Solomon’s Chanukkah march, that is how I stumbled across your blog. I have been reading about you and your surgery, etc. and you have certainly been in my thoughts and prayers. Now I read that you spend Shabbat with Rabbi Richman and his family and I decided I had to comment. The reason my family and I travelled to Israel for Chanukkah (from Texas) is to go to Tzvi’s little brother, Efrayim’s, bar mitzvah as well as to see Rabbi Richman and meet his family.
I enjoy reading your blog and am praying for full recovery for you.
How in the world can you possible not like Bob Dylan? The man was a visonary. I am really confused.
