    PictureSync problem

Is anyone out there familiar with PictureSync? It’s a small program that I use to upload pictures directly from iPhoto to Facebook albums and to my photo gallery.

I’ve been having a problem with it recently – for some reason, it’s not letting me use my Gallery account, giving me the following error message: “No Privileges: The Gallery account for [my username] does not appear to have any albums available with privileges for upload. Resolve this then come back to PictureSync, or change your user login in the account settings.”

I tried googling for people experiencing similar problems, but couldn’t find any online. Then I went to the company’s site, but their FAQ and support documents were entirely unhelpful. Then I posted about the problem in their recommended online forum, hoping someone would see it, but it’s obviously not a well-trafficked place. After waiting a while, I went back to the company’s site and realized that I should send them feedback through the program’s Help menu. I tried that, but the feedback option was grayed out. So I tried emailing the company. A few hours later, I got a very excellent first response, full of possible explanations for the problem and some corresponding solutions to try. I tried them, but none worked, so I replied to the email, answering various questions and adding several attachments – but I haven’t heard back since then.

I don’t often pay for a license to use software, and usually reserve it for the best of the best. PictureSync worked great when I first got it, doing just what it was supposed to do, and I didn’t mind paying for it. But I’m of the opinion that if a company is big enough to charge money for their product, they’re also big enough to provide their own support for that product.

I hope someone from the company that makes PictureSync will see this and contact me to help me out, or give refund my money, or both.

    Update: problem solved.
