    I like Thanksgiving, but…

    I think Thanksgiving is great. In fact, it’s one of the greatest things about America that’s portable to Israel (still working on convincing people here that football is the superior sport). But I will never go to America for Thanksgiving. Why not? Unfortunately, Thanksgiving has been completely swallowed up by the black hole of of Xmas.

    If you’re one of the many people who are perturbed that I don’t want to set foot in the United States in the months of October, November or December, please read this Consumerist nightmare post-Thanksgiving Day shopping scenario and ask yourself if, perhaps, you wouldn’t also avoid America at this time of year, if you could.
