Rather than employing sophisticated rhetorical devices to explain why I want to make Aliyah, I’ll assume my reasoning is self-evident. That being said, I encourage readers to track down a copy of Matti Golan’s With Friends Like You, which explains the ridiculous relationship between Israelis and American Jews; and Hillel Halkin’s Letters to an American Jewish Friend, which illustrates the necessity for Aliyah both for individual Jews and for the Jewish people.
